Xfx 9800gtx Drivers For Mac

Just reporting back that. I HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM!!! Now SLI works perfectly with any driver!! Before: XFX 9800GTX+ (with vga bios containing hybrid power, 62.92.62.00.0A) in primary pci-e slot, EVGA 9800GTX+ (vga bios does not have hybrid power, 62.92.57.00.70) in third pci-e slot = drivers later than 178.24 in xp32 and all drivers in vista64 does not work SLI.

Now: Vice versa, i.e. EVGA GFX in primary pci-e slot, XFX GFX in third pci-e slot = all drivers in xp32 AND vista64 have SLI working. Btw, what is the best driver, 185.20 beta or 181.22 whql?

But again, I'm really glad it's working now! Ok i wheeeee'ed prematurely.

I posted the previous post after sli worked in vista on 178.24 (vista64 couldnt work at all with any driver before the switch). BUT after installing 185.20 or 181.22 drivers on xp32 the pc will give a bsod while installing fresh (np when installing over 178.24.

Bsod is machine check exception. Thinking it was my overclock i put the pc at stock and still have same problem. Thing is i could install the very same drivers before the physical gfx card switch and the only problem was no sli.

Now the problem is 100% bsod while installing the drivers. 178.24 works perfectly though. One difference is that after the switch i enabled raid which works ok. I disabled it after getting the bsods to no avail. Memory tests ok, cpu put to stock.im now dumbfounded.especailly with the acclaimed significant gains in performance of the 18x drivers over 178.24. This time it's for real.

I finally solved the problem. The source of all the problems was a bad stock bios on the xfx card.

I flashed my evga one to the xfx bios and it couldnt work where it could work before the flash. Then i got another xfx bios from the net, flashed it to both my cards, and the new drivers work for sli!! Thus i used back the evga one for the evga card and the new xfx for the xfx card, and now everything works!! After spending almost the whole of January on this damn problem, I have finally fixed it. Conclusion: just flash the damn gpu bios.

It's so easy, just need a bootable usb drive. I tried both sli fingers, each resulted in still the same problem. The gfx seems to be working fine as i can see the leds on green on each. I have only tried 180.84.

Will try the 185.20. Im pretty sure i got 2 9800gtx+. Even so, countless reviews have said that both can be sli'ed (a 9800gtx AND a GTX+ together). In rivatuner the fan setting (driver settings system settings) seems to affect only the main card. Try running without the SLI Bridge. I had the same problems, but mine just cutted out with a blue screen.

Noticed that the bridge was causing problems. If you remove it, you lose all of 5 percent (if that) in performance, but is well worth it than just using the single card. This time it's for real. I finally solved the problem.
